Product notes on the road to beta: what we are building, how we want to work with partners and what our calculations can establish.

What we are working on now.
Beta · 31 October 2026
A clear start. A shared learning process.
The free open beta is planned through 31 December 2026. We want to learn how travellers compare connections, where data is missing and how planning can become clearer. Public access follows technical and operational acceptance.
A twelve-week pilot connects a scoped question with agreed data, responsibilities and acceptance criteria. We seek partner agreements by the end of 2026; production use after successful evaluation is targeted for early 2027.
The current Passport protects the integrity of a planning estimate. It does not establish actual travel, the quality of every source or avoided emissions. Additional evidence and independently checkable methods form part of further development.

Series 001 opens the journal with ten chapters, made to be read in order or kept individually. This is not a feed imported from another platform; it is Farleda's own launch archive.

Europe is closer than it looks.
Farleda starts with the continent as a connected place — and the train as part of the story, not a compromise.

Planning without administration.
A journey should begin with curiosity. The route, stays and evidence belong in one calm flow.

Travel, verified.
Every impact figure should lead back to a route, a factor and a source — never to a decorative score.

A journey, not just a ticket.
The meaningful unit is the whole trip: connections, places, stays, choices and the record you keep.

Still being built.
We would rather show the work, uncertainty and progress than pretend the finished product appeared overnight.

The evidence behind a better journey.
Twelve archive notes show earlier product concepts: route choice, ranges, stays, calculation records and screens from the private preview build.

Four routes. One honest choice.
Farleda compares feasible rail routes instead of hiding the trade-off: time, changes, emissions range and data confidence remain visible before you choose.

The range matters.
A precise-looking single number can still be misleading. Farleda keeps the expected value together with its lower and upper bound — and explains what shapes it.

Stay part of the journey.
The route does not end at the station. Stays and local access belong inside the same calm plan, with useful sustainability evidence instead of decorative labels.

Proof should be verifiable.
The preview illustrates a credential identifier, content fingerprint and key identifier. Long-term verification depends on the retained keys and the released verification service.

Open data. Visible limits.
Open feeds are strongest when their limits stay visible. Farleda distinguishes scheduled routes, modelled fallbacks, emission grades and the time a source was last checked.

Built for the whole journey.
Transport, stays, activities, booking hand-offs and the signed record become one coherent itinerary — so sustainable planning feels complete, not fragmented.

Start with where.
A clear planning canvas keeps the first decision simple: origin, destination, dates and travellers before the system builds the journey around them.

Four real routes. One honest view.
Travel time, changes, distance, confidence and an emissions range remain visible together on the map — so the recommended route is explainable.

Leave less. Document it.
The preview ledger compares planning estimates with a modelled flight reference. The difference is not measured or causally avoided emissions.
