The founder story

Before Farleda, there was Trippin.

This did not begin as a climate-tech pitch. It began as a school project, an oversized idea and a question that refused to disappear.

Perg · The beginning

The first idea was simple: let the software plan the whole journey.

During their software-engineering education at a technical secondary school (HTL) in Perg, Raphael Lugmayr and Sebastian Kern started a project called Trippin in 2024. Raphael came up with the name and the original idea: an app that would help schools plan excursions — ideally the entire trip, not just one ticket at a time.

2024 · The school project

A better way to plan school trips.

Trippin started with a concrete frustration. Organising a school trip meant piecing together routes, stays and information across too many places.

The ambition was already larger than a timetable search: one product should understand the journey from beginning to end.

02

2024–2025 · The bigger vision

“Wanna go trippin?”

Research turned the school tool into a much broader B2C idea: an all-in-one travel platform that could plan and book a complete journey, including accommodation.

The team held early exploratory conversations with large booking platforms. These were conversations, not partnerships — but they made the scale of the opportunity, and the challenge, very real.

03

2025 · The honest pause

The first version did not work.

The team had largely come together for a school project, the scope was enormous and belief was uneven. Trippin did not become the platform its founders had imagined.

That outcome matters to the story. It taught the team that a big promise needs a narrow first problem, dependable infrastructure and years of conviction behind it.

04

2025–2026 · The years between

The idea kept returning.

Raphael — and at times Sebastian — continued to revisit the concept. They brainstormed, studied the market and asked friends, travellers and organisations where travel planning still failed them.

The answer became clearer over time: planning alone was not enough. People also needed to understand the impact of the journey and trust the number they were shown.

05

2026 · Farleda

A clearer product, built to be believed.

Farleda is the next, more focused version of that original conviction: start with European rail, use open mobility data, show the sources and keep a signed record of the journey. The rebuild started from zero in April 2026; in July 2026, Trippin became Farleda.

It still wants to make travel feel effortless. It simply refuses to hide the infrastructure, uncertainty or evidence behind the answer.

Why trains

Built from affection, not obligation.

Raphael loves trains — the rhythm of the journey, the places between the endpoints and the idea that good rail can make Europe feel closer.

Farleda began sustainability-first because a better rail system is not just a lower-emission alternative. It is public infrastructure that can make travel calmer, more accessible and more human.

The people

Still building the idea forward.

Farleda is a product of Stoicera Group in Perg, Austria. The product currently runs as a private preview for selected users, beta testers and beta organisations, ahead of the public beta (31 Oct–31 Dec 2026).

The next chapter

Trippin was the first draft. Farleda is the commitment.

We are building in public, starting with a real corridor and inviting travellers and organisations to help shape what comes next.
